Jane Wilson Marquis, Couture Bridal and Evening Wear Designer

Jacqueline and Jane are jointly introducing the Venus Wedding line of hair accessories and broaches. They are also marketing partners for all special events in New York City where the sea glass accessories are shown.

Jane Wilson-Marquis was born and raised in England. There she studied dance, taught actors how to move and choreographed many mixed media theatre pieces. She began her career as a clothing designer in London, crossing the Atlantic over 20 years ago.

Jane set up her shop in New York City’s Soho in 1985. In 1999 a second boutique opened on the Upper Eastside to accommodate her growing up-town clientele. Jane Wilson-Marquis specializes in non-traditional bridal gowns, evening gowns, flower girl dresses, mother of the bride and bridesmaid gowns as well as handmade headpieces and a variety veils and wraps. JWM wedding gowns have been described by NY Timeout Magazine as having an "other-worldly period quality" about them, and the New York Times referred to one wedding gown "looking like a 1990's version of Guinevere."
